Event icons in purple text have had Snapchat involved in some way and others have black text.

As you zoom out an icon of a helicopter appears and as you zoom in icons range from a bird to a bee to footwear when you are a street level.

The right side of the snap map is a slider to zoom in and out although it will not be obvious.

Press and hold on an information widget of a connection to bring up their snapcode.

Screenshot the snap map then a screenshot notification appears at the top of the screen.

Lower right corner target icon allows you to go back to your location on the snap map.

Local time and weather are shown in the lower left corner. Scroll to the left or right to jump to other connections. If they have a story available you can click on it in the information widget. Click on any one to go to chat with that person. Select your own bitmoji in the snap map to see information widgets for your connections.Click on the information widget at the bottom of the screen to view their stories. When people are in the same place their bitmojis appear together.Bitmojis featured on the map will get a action depending on what you are doing like listening to music, traveling etc.I recently tested the new Snapchat spectacles and now it is time to test the Snap map feature.

You can use Snap maps to discover what is going on in your local area, city, country and even other countries around the world.

As long as you have mutual friends, and decide to share locations, then you can see each other.
